| Blogs provide
a web space for authors who are willing to share personal experiences
and perspectives on their daily life with those wanting to learn
from such experiences.
There are several blogs currently authored by members
of the Lakeside community -- from personal websites or through archives
of photos and email lists and forums.
We'd be happy to provide easy to use tools
for those who would share their voice through online journals. Please
see the sample blog linked from the home page of this site. Propose
a name for your blog, and start telling the world what life is really
like at the lake.

There are a variety of tools which make web contributions
of graphics and thoughtful commentary about life very easy for community
authors. If there is an interest in supporting such a community,
MoveableType blog spaces would be available free to authors of the
community. These comments could be linked to forums and easily searchable
across author in order to benefit site users.
A program called Moveable
Type is by far the most
popular and widespread blogging software today. We have it available
for Lakeside bloggers on a not-for-profit license. Moveable Type
is popular because it's easy to use and quite fully featured.
A great gal by the name of Elise provides a terrific
website devoted to people who are interested in learning about Movable
Type -- but be forewarned that most of what goes under this label
is about the complex bits related to getting the sofware to run on
a server -- nothing you have to worry about at Chapalaliving.
