About this site

How can we help?

An invitation to bloggers

"Let's do what we can to help these people get the word out", Steve said to Kenny, after they found out for themselves that Ajijic at Lake Chapala looks like everything they said in the active Internet community lakeside. Bubba and Esperanza, Pedro, and so many others become part of your life when you tune into Mexico Connect, or the Chapala.com Webboard hosted on the web by a local real estate firm.

This site represents our effort to see if there's anything we could do for this communnity. We have skills at web design and empty server space. Is there a way that these can be of use? We hope that you'll want to be in dialog with ideas.

Steve and Kenny

Below are some phototours of Ajijic -- a small village high in the hill above Guadalajara. These use photos from flickr, require that you allow popups and call for Macromedia's free Flash player. Enjoy!

Visit Ajijic!
A fotoplayer (TM) show of assorted photos of a small village in Mexico at Lake Chapala in the state of Jalisco.

Steven Miller's Ajijic!
Steven Miller is one of Chapala's favorite photographers and has a spectacular eye for the beauty of his Mexico.

Steven's Doors of Mexico!
Miller captures part of the magic feeling of Hacienda architecture and the mystery of what lies behind those walls..

Risible Girl's Mexico
Risible Girl is an outstanding contributor
to flickr community and the Internet with
a sharp eye on Ajijic and Mexico as well as
so many of the parts of the world she documents.

Home Queretaro
There are many parts of Mexico to visit. Our
favorite BandB is "Home" in Queretaro. With a hostess who is a superb chef, "Home" is in the heart of the historic district and a short walk to everything! Shelley is very reasonable on rates and knows almost all of Mexico very well. She teaches English and often has guests on extended stays to learn languages. The house is full of friends who want to speak English and who are happy to serve as tour guides. Great spa features too;-) Click the logo to visit QueretaroBandB.com
